Pinaki Chakraborty

Pinaki Chakraborty was born in India but spent last thirty years of his life in Bhutan.  He has supreme knowledge in both the contemporary and traditional music of Bhutan, he is master of his own craft and a true icon of the rhythmic instruments of Bhutan. His contribution in the field of music is immeasurable and still serves as a prominent percussionist and plays the role of court musician. Incorporating different styles, he has absolute knowledge of creating own unique pattern that can fit perfectly in any composition. He also composed rhythm pattern for many films as music arranger and has been taking leading role in most of the reality singing competition events. He has boundless contribution pertaining to charity shows and most importantly played for His Majesty’s music related projects.  He worked as a programmer for festivals like Hidden Kingdom World Music Festival 2021 and outreach programmer for Voice of Bhutan Reality Show.
